Marie Parker is our protagonist. She is the first scholarship student to be accepted at St. Andrew's Academy in three years. While making new friends at her new school, she also maintains her friendships formed over the past three years at the local public school, combining the two groups with perfect synchronicity. The main problem arrives with another new student...
... Bryan Mayweather. He is the son of the current principal at St. Andrew's Academy. While he's lived his entire life in England, the past few years with just his mother and grandmother, he is now attending St. Andrew's Academy to get to know his father. He tries to get closer to Marie because of their shared "new kid" status, but she attempts to shut him down at every turn.
Jack Owen is one of Marie's best friends. As one of the first two people to know why her family moved to their small town in central Tennessee, he is very protective of Marie and their other friends. He doesn't take it well when people try to come in and bother any of his friends, but especially Marie.
Bailey Martin is Marie's other best friend. Due to a complicated family situation, Bailey is currently living with the Parkers. She is also very protective of Marie and isn't afraid to say what's on her mind.
Hailey is one of Marie's friends from the public school. Strong-willed and independent, she does what she wants, when she wants, with who she wants. Some might find her strong personality a bit off-putting at first, but when she sees something, or someone she wants, she goes after it with a fierce determination that won't let anything stand in her way.
Jordan is Hailey's twin sister, and also a friend of Marie's. With a more level head on her shoulders, she brings the group down to earth when necessary. But that doesn't mean she doesn't know how to have her own fun, as the rest of them can tell you. Between her and...
Spencer, Jack's cousin, the pranks can get pretty out of hand. Spencer lives to make people laugh, and will do almost anything to get that laugh. While he might not always be the smartest kid at the table, he'll always bring a smile to your face when you see him.
Mark is one of the Bishop twins. He's attended the line of St. Andrew's schools since preschool, along with his brother, although his world is now opening up.
Miles is the other Bishop twin. He's more studious and serious than his brother, and more willing to look at all sides of an issue before making a decision.
Samuel Michaelson (Sam) is the Bishop twins' best friend. He's easy-going, loyal, and patient. With the belief that everything will eventually turn out alright, he's generally willing to overlook a few minor inconveniences for the sake of friendship.
